Born Souleymane Kader Junior Kévin Koné on October 8, 1996, in Yopougon, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, he has become a recognised name in French-speaking African gospel music. His music combines gospel messages with elements of hip-hop and contemporary African sounds, allowing him to reach audiences beyond the traditional gospel music scene.
Early Life and Musical Background
KS Bloom grew up in Yopougon, a neighbourhood in Abidjan, in a family with different religious backgrounds. His father is Muslim, while his mother is Christian. His early exposure to music included several genres, such as rap, zouglou, coupé-décalé and R&B. These influences later contributed to the musical style he developed as a gospel artist.
He began pursuing music around 2012, initially exploring secular music and different musical expressions. However, his life and career took a different direction in 2017 when he converted to evangelical Christianity. His conversion became a defining moment in his personal life and influenced his decision to dedicate his musical talent to spreading the Christian faith.
Musical Career and Rise to Prominence
Following his conversion, KS Bloom embraced gospel music and developed a style that combines rap with contemporary African rhythms. He adopted the stage name KS Bloom and began building an identity around music that communicates Christian teachings through an urban sound.
His popularity grew considerably around 2020 and 2021, as his music reached more listeners in Côte d’Ivoire and other French-speaking African countries. His approach to gospel music appealed particularly to younger audiences who appreciated the combination of hip-hop influences, African sounds and messages about faith, salvation and Christian living.
In 2021, he released his debut studio album, Allumez la lumière, marking an important stage in his musical development. He continued expanding his catalogue with subsequent projects, including Disciple dans la ville in 2023 and KDO in 2024.

Musical Style and Ministry
One of the distinguishing features of KS Bloom’s music is his combination of gospel rap and contemporary African musical influences. Rather than limiting himself to traditional gospel arrangements, he incorporates elements of hip-hop, zouglou and other urban sounds into his music.
His lyrics frequently address faith in Jesus Christ, salvation, repentance, Christian identity and the importance of living according to biblical principles. Through this approach, he has developed a musical identity that connects Christian messages with the sounds and expressions of a younger generation.
KS Bloom continues to contribute to the growth of contemporary gospel music in Côte d’Ivoire and the wider French-speaking African music scene.
