When life gets difficult, faith can become the reminder that the story is not over. Kirk Franklin’s “This Time,” featuring GloRilla, turns that message into an energetic gospel anthem about making it through hard seasons and trusting God for what comes next.
Released on September 25, 2026, the track combines Franklin’s choir-driven global gospel sound with GloRilla’s contemporary hip-hop delivery. Its uplifting message centres on perseverance, surrendering control to God, and believing that better days are ahead. The song also draws from Mandrill’s “Children of the Sun,” giving its production a familiar groove while keeping the focus on faith and overcoming adversity. “This Time” is set to appear on Franklin’s upcoming album I Am What I Am.
