KHAEL’s “Wagba” is a contemporary Afro-Christian song built around a simple but urgent invitation: come and receive what God offers through Jesus Christ. The Yoruba title carries the sense of “come and receive,” setting the tone for a message that points listeners toward salvation and the gift of God.
Wagba reminds listeners that earthly things are temporary. The sweetness and satisfaction they offer will eventually fade, making the call of Christ all the more important. At the centre of the message is an invitation to respond to Jesus, who is presented as calling people to come to Him and receive what the world cannot ultimately provide.
With its contemporary Afro-Christian sound and evangelistic message, “Wagba” works as both a song of faith and a direct appeal to the listener. It encourages people to look beyond temporary pleasures and consider the salvation offered through Jesus Christ.
