With so much criticism surrounding the church today, it is easy to see why some people are beginning to question Christianity. From accusations of pastors misusing church funds to the popular claim that “church is a scam,” conversations about faith have become increasingly negative. But in “I Recommend,” Israel The Creator offers a different perspective. I Recommend points listeners back to Jesus and reminds them that the shortcomings of people should not take away from who He is.
The African gospel song is also an encouragement to those who may have become discouraged or turned away from church because of what they have seen or heard. It invites people to give Jesus a chance, return to fellowship, and discover the value of a genuine relationship with Him. Its message is simple: despite the controversies and imperfections surrounding the church, Jesus is still worth knowing and recommending. Israel The Creator presents Christianity as more than just another choice; he points to Christ as the hope and answer humanity needs.
