There is a sense of patience running through Gaise Baba’s God Is Cooking. The album is rooted in the idea that God is always at work, even in seasons when the outcome is not yet visible. Across its 13 tracks, Gaise Baba explores faith, spiritual growth, purpose, identity and the process of becoming who God has called us to be.
The project feels deeply connected to its African roots, bringing Christian themes into a sound shaped by Afrobeats and contemporary African music. Gaise Baba also brings in voices such as Greatman Takit, Lawrence Oyor, Nontokozo Mkhize, Cofi Boham and Kaestrings, adding different textures to the journey. Songs like “Want to Grow” and “Yield” lean into personal spiritual growth, while “We Outside” and “Light Of Africa” carry a more outward-looking expression of faith.
