“Onu Amonu” draws worshippers into a sustained declaration of who God is. Released by Theophilus Sunday in collaboration with 1Spirit and featuring Pastor Juliet Onekele, the extended worship piece was released in October 2024 and later appeared on the Father of Spirits album.
Much of the song is built around declarations of God’s greatness, holiness, power and eternal reign. The repeated refrain identifies Him as the King of Kings, while the worship moves through names and descriptions that point to His unmatched authority and sovereignty. The lyrics also draw attention to God’s immeasurable power and the belief that nothing is too difficult for Him. Theophilus Sunday’s performance, joined by Pastor Juliet Onekele, gives the song the character of a long-form worship chant rather than a conventional short gospel single.
