
Bassey’s music spans several genres including gospel, worship, hymns, and medleys, and he is widely celebrated for hit worship songs such as Imela, Onise Iyanu, and Olowogbogboro. His albums, including The Son of God (& Imela), This God Is Too Good, and Jesus: The Resurrection & the Life, have made significant impact within and beyond Africa’s gospel music scene.
Apart from his music career, Bassey is also a pastor with The Redeemed Christian Church of God and leads The Oasis Lagos, the youth church of RCCG Kings Court. He is known worldwide for founding the #HallelujahChallenge — an online worship movement that gathers believers to praise and pray daily, drawing millions of participants globally.
Bassey pursued higher education in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Lagos before studying Politics and International Relations at the University of London. He also studied music at Middlesex University’s music program in the UK. Married to Sarah Bassey, he continues to minister through music, mentoring worship leaders and inspiring worshippers across the world.
