Raised in Nakuru Freehold Estate, Evelyn discovered her love for music at an early age, performing in school choirs and drama clubs. By the age of nine, she was already singing in church, signaling the start of the ministry God was preparing her for.

Education and Music Training

Her musical journey continued with formal training at the Tears Group in Nakuru and later through the Talent Academy at Kabarak University in 2010. It was during this period that Evelyn met Agundabweni Akweyu, a producer and mentor who would become her creative partner and later, her husband. Together, they founded Bwenieve Productions, a studio and record label dedicated to gospel music.

Evelyn’s breakthrough came with her album Waweza, which included hits like “Waweza” and “Hossana”. The song Mazingira gained national attention when it was chosen as the theme for Kenya’s Mau Forest conservation campaign, and Evelyn was appointed music ambassador for the project.
