A Nigerian woman, Olushola Olonade, has shared a remarkable testimony after welcoming quadruplets just weeks before celebrating her 50th birthday, following her marriage at the age of 48. Her story has drawn widespread attention and inspired many across the country.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid Rock Parish, Ojodu, Lagos, Olonade recounted that she got married on December 12, 2023, after what she described as a long wait for a husband. She said she prayed that she would not have to endure another lengthy wait before becoming a mother.
According to her testimony, she conceived the following year and initially underwent an ultrasound scan that suggested she was expecting twins. A later scan indicated triplets, while a subsequent examination revealed she was carrying four babies. She humorously recalled deciding not to return for another scan after being told she was expecting quadruplets, joking that she did not want the number to increase again.

On March 6, 2026, Olonade safely delivered two boys and two girls, just three weeks before marking her 50th birthday on March 31. During her testimony, she expressed gratitude to God for preserving her life and the lives of her babies throughout the pregnancy and delivery.
She also disclosed that multiple births run in her family, noting that several relatives, including one of her aunts, had experienced twin births. According to her, the arrival of quadruplets came as a joyful surprise to the family.
Pregnancies involving quadruplets are rare and are generally considered high-risk, requiring close medical monitoring because of the increased risks for both the mother and the babies. Despite these challenges, Olonade’s testimony concluded with thanksgiving for a safe delivery and the healthy arrival of her four children.
