The influence of music in Nigeria and the world can never be underestimated. Music has played a vital role in shaping the mentality of our youth in this country. Unfortunately, the minds of our youth are being shifted toward immoral activities. One Christian creative on TikTok, who goes by the name Hause of Shamba, laments how some particular songs have encouraged crime in the past. He mentioned “Yahooze” by Olu Maintain and “I Go Chop Your Dollar” by Nkem Owoh (Osuofia), stating that these songs have done more damage to our young ones. He knows of young people who have done terrible things as a result of the influence of these songs and many others like them.
All glory be to God for His anointing upon our music ministers in Nigeria. God has given us people we can trust and listen to their music. If it had not been for God all this time, many people would have gone astray.
